Financial Aid Support

Thank you for choosing Bedford-Euless Soccer Association (BESA) for your child. BESA strives to make our program available to all eligible youth, regardless of financial resources. However, BESA is also committed to fiscal responsibility to ensure the on-going success of our association.  Therefore, it is the policy of BESA to consider applications for financial aid to be applied against the registration fee for recreational players.

Financial Aid applications are available below to be brought in to our walk-in registration on Saturday, January 10. All financial aid vouchers will be distributed in person on this day only.

Each family will be limited to 2 qualified players per family per season.

What it covers: Financial assistance covers partial cost of registration.

Deadlines: Completed Financial Aid Form and documentation must be presented at walk-in registration. Vouchers will be given on a first come first serve basis in person at the designated event only.

Required Documents: At least 2 of the following forms of documentation must be presented along with your completed financial aid form:

  • Medicaid/CHIPS,
  • SNAP-Food Stamps,
  • National School Lunch program (FREE),
  • Texas School Lunch program (FREE),
  • Federal Housing Assistance,
  • Low Income-Home Energy Assistance

Please have your forms completed prior to walk-in registration to save time during in-person registration. If your player is new to BESA, please bring their birth certificate as well.

Don't Qualify for Financial Aid?

We understand that financial challenges can arise unexpectedly, and we recognize how difficult it can be when your family doesn't qualify for traditional aid. To help bridge that gap, we're offering an opportunity for families who do not qualify for financial aid to apply for a full youth registration scholarship covered by funds generously donated by Chegal and the Tara Sawyer Foundation.

This scholarship is designed to support families who are committed to keeping their children active in soccer, even during tough times. If your family is facing financial hardship, we encourage you to apply and continue being part of our community.

Note that we have a very limited number of these scholarships (less than 10 per full soccer year - August through May). We will notify you by early January if your player is awarded one of the scholarships. We also encourage families to get involved with BESA to give back as much as they can.

Scholarship Application will open later in December.

LISA

#LiveLikeLisa

BESA started the #LiveLikeLisa campaign in honor of our friend and BESA Board Member, Lisa Hiefner, who passed away unexpectedly in the summer of 2022. Lisa was a light in our association - a board member, coach, team manager, player, and soccer mom. She was always willing to lend a helping hand, and made an impact on everyone she crossed paths with. We will continue her legacy by raising funds in her honor through this new campaign #LiveLikeLisa to help BESA continue helping those in need.

All funds raised will go directly to cover the registration fees of players faced with hardship.
